Fishing Line Dangers

FISHING LINE TRAGEDY: 1 White Pelican (found with fishing lure in throat and fishing line wrapped around neck, wing and beak. It had been on there so long the wound on its neck had healed where the fishing line was cutting into it. Since it was also wrapped around the  beak, the bird was unable to eat and was starving when we rescued it. We did our best but it died after two days.)
